The story of Sky Bear, the origin of the constellation known as the Great Bear or the Big Dipper, is found among many of the indigenous nations of the northern hemisphere in Asia, Europe, and North America. Joseph Bruchac (Nulhegan Abenaki) will be telling the version that is found among several of the Native nations of the New England area and exploring turning the story into a graphic novel.
Registration is required for Zoom participants. You can also watch this program without registering live on MONAH’s Facebook or on the Cultural Celebration webpage.
