Indigenous Food as Medicine with Felicia Ruiz

Indigenous Food as Medicine.png

Join Felicia Ruiz in a hands-on medicine making class while she shares a brief history of chiles, and how they have been used as medicine (and more!) for generations! Participants will be led in making Chile Infused Honey for Immune Support.

Class size is limited. As of 1/13/20 all seats for Zoom participation have been filled. However, you can still watch live on our Facebook page! The event will be recorded and posted on our website afterward. The event will be hosted on the website for only 30 days, just in case you missed it or would like to revisit!

Needed Supplies:

  • 1 small jar with lid (16 oz or larger)

  • Knife

  • Small Spoon

  • Cutting board

  • Runny Honey (preferably a local honey)

  • A few fresh hot chilies (Serrano, Habanero, Piri Piri). Two chilies per pound of honey is suggested.

  • Sauce pan and stove.

This event will be available until February 15, 2021.
