“The only thing that really matters is what kind of world we’re going to leave to our grandchildren,”

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright

We are looking for you to dig into your imagination for fundable solutions to climate change.

MONAH invites you to dust off the colossal ideas you’ve been pondering and submit your vision for a sustainable solution that solves a problem in your homeland and benefits all creation: land, air, water, plants, animals, and humans.

What is Indigenuity?

Building on ancestral Indigenous knowledge and sustainable thinking, create your adaption of a lasting legacy that will support future generations.

For eons, the first people observed the wisdom of plants, animals, ecosystems, landscapes, and seascapes where we live can teach us much about how to live in a life-enhancing manner.

This contest challenges students of all ages to present stories and ideas with real applications that take their inspiration from our deep relationship with the earth.

Who is Judging?

Dr. Daniel Wildcat, Johnnie Jae, Dr. Mae Hey, and 2021 contest winner Gabriel Durham will evaluate submissions based on creativity, sustainability, and practicality, in short, Indigenuity.
